Next Tuesday, June 25th WRC will be hosting its first annual LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration from 1:30pm-3:00pm in our Danneker Boardroom! We hope you will join us for desserts, some short film clips and resource sharing.

ATTENTION ALL SERVICE PROVIDERS: THIS IMPACTS EVERYONE!
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) has released the Proposed Rate Models! It is imperative that you review this proposed rate structure as it has serious implications to how providers do business and what reimbursement rate will be assigned.
The WRC Rate Model can be viewed here. Our community has until April 5, 2019 to provide comments. We need your input!
WRC will host 2 sessions on Tuesday, March 26th to gather information to send to DDS and the Legislature. Sessions will be held from 9:30am-11:30am and 12:30pm -2:30pm in our Danneker Boardroom at WRC. A third session will be held at Empowertech located at 9100 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045, on March 27th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Please plan to attend at least one but you are welcome to all.
You should additionally provide your input by completing this survey. Please answer the questions that are relevant to the services you provide. You are able to skip to questions in the survey that apply to your organization. ALL feedback is valuable and needed.
All comments and input must be received by Monday, April 1st to be submitted by WRC to DDS.
Please get the word out to every service provider that you know. This is your last chance to provide input regarding this new rate structure.

Self-Determination Update as of 1/10/19–Orientations are Still Postponed at this Time
The Self-Determination Orientations originally scheduled for January 2019 have been postponed. WRC is awaiting the approval of the orientation materials by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). In the meantime, you can stay informed by attending the Self Determination Local Advisory Committee (LAC) meetings. They are typically held on the second Tuesday of every month in the WRC Boardroom. The next LAC is February 12th at 6:00pm. Additionally, please visit our WRC Self-Determination Page.
New Information on Independent Facilitators (IF) and Financial Management Services (FMS):

This information is also available on the Department of Developmental Services’ (DDS) website at https://www.dds.ca.gov/SDP/SDPUpdates.cfm. DDS is continuing to work on additional SDP information, including training for local advisory committee members and regional centers on conducting participant orientations and guidance for developing the individual budget. Updates on progress in completing these and other items needed as we move toward implementation will also be posted on the Department’s website. Please join us on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 3pm at WRC (5901 Green Valley Cir., Ste. 320 Culver City, CA 90230) to learn more about CIE & PIP implementation, development, funding and reimbursement process. This meeting will occur directly after the bi-monthly SEP Roundtable meeting and also during the “off” months.
