We are thrilled to announce the launch of the brand-new online training course, the Family Welcome Experience, available for Westside Regional Center (WRC). This course contains 5 modules, which you can watch at your own pace. Our goal is to ensure equitable access to information about services that may be available to you and your family, either at WRC or in your local community, and how to obtain those services. 

 

Topics covered in this course include: 

• Regional Center services and supports 
• Resources available at WRC 
• Resources available in your community 

• Westside Family Resource and Empowerment Center 
• Financial assistance programs 
• Housing and rental assistance programs 

Each video contains helpful resources that you can download onto your computer or smartphone.

In order to access the training course, you will first need to complete a registration form. Once you have completed this form, someone from our team will contact you with further instructions.

Laptop & Hotspot Loans | LA County Public Library 

You can now check out a kit with a Chromebook and wireless hotspot to access the internet (plus chargers) inside a handy carrying case, from any library location. Borrow for 3 weeks, with the option to renew, if available. Please call any library location to place a hold on a Laptop & Hotspot Loan Kit. A kit can be picked up at any open library or via Sidewalk Service. For more information, visit https://lacountylibrary.org/laptop/ .
