This Month’s Topic: ADHD and the Family
Effective communication within the family is key to avoiding chaos. Justine Ruotolo addresses ADHD and the team approach to communication – which can lead to positive change for the entire family. This conversation includes 504 plans, and IEPs, and the steps involved in helping children feel, and become, successful. Justine’s shares her personal transformation and relationship with ADHD, using meditation and mindfulness as the foundation of her practice. Neuroplasticity, the ability to change the brain, is real. Finally, Ruotolo touches upon the preponderance of “shame” among adults with ADHD, and provides strategies toward creating “shame resilience.”
