Understanding the Disability: Specific Learning Disabilities

July 16 @ 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

This class will teach the parents the characteristics, diagnosis and interventions associated with different specific learning disabilities. They will learn about the abilities involved such as listening, thinking, speaking, writing, spelling, or completing mathematical calculations. In order for parents to support their children, they need to understand the struggles their child can have with reading, writing, or math. This workshop will also discuss types of specific learning disabilities such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia.
