|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 5:30 PM on day Second of the month, repeating until September 8, 2025

Please join us this Thursday, February 13th from 5:30pm-8:00pm as we kickoff an exciting workshop series that Westside Regional Center (WRC) will be hosting over the next several months. “Introduction to Disability” is the first of seven workshops that will help parents understand how disability appears in everyday life and the practical strategies they may use to support their child in the school and family environment. You may attend as few as one session or all seven if you choose. Regardless, we know that you will find presenter Mariana Leñoro Solar to be very informative. All of the sessions will take place on the second Thursday of every month from February to August 2020 in the Danneker Boardroom at WRC. Please note that these sessions will be presented in Spanish with the option of English interpretation through headsets. Please call 310-258-4063 to reserve your space. This workshop series is sponsored by The Learning Rights Center, Westside Tigers, WRC and the Westside Family Resource Empowerment Center. We hope to see you there! Limited childcare available with reservation.
