Each week during National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) we will highlight an Essential Worker’s Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) Success Story. Our story this week is about Dylan Schelberg.

Dylan Schelberg, is employed at Camp Run-A-Mutt, which is a daycare and boarding center for dogs. Dylan has responded well to remote job coaching (during Covid-19). Dylan offers words of encouragement to other job seekers “Be patient for the right job. It might take a while, but it will happen.”

Dylan’s passion and kindness is a great addition for his employer. “Dylan’s love for the dogs and respect for others really stands out.  Dylan’s effort really shows.  In many ways, Dylan is an example to his colleagues” shares Sidney (Camp Run-A-Mutt).

Dylan’s Job Coach from Easter Seals, Veronica Diaz, provides support with helping him focus on his job and maintaining communication with the employer who is also involved and supportive, which is helpful with contributing to Dylan’s success.
